The hotel is situated in a seaside village, Puerto de Vega. A fishing village where traditions are mixed with the smell of the sea and where you will be able become involved with its streets and its people and be surprised by the skyline of the Cantabrian Sea. Its fish market, the “Almenas”, defensive fortification at the entrance of the port, the walk of the “Baluarte”, going along the edge of the sea.
The view-point of the Riva, which reminds us the times of the whale boats. The field of the “Atalaya”, with its white hermitage, sanctuary of the Virgin of the “Atalaya” who guides the boats when they come into the port to sell their sea products at dusk.
The Ethnographic Museum “Juan Pérez Villamil” to pay homage to the fishing and rural life. Corners full of magic and good people that will make you forget the time.

BEACHES
“The Beach of Frejulfe”, known by us as “Frexulfe”, it’s the one nearest to the HOTEL, at only 1,5 kilometres. An incredible place to relax and to go for long walks near the sea, barefooted on the grey sand, enjoying a magnificent sunset. It’s the beach for those who love Surfing. And if you are fond of peace and nature, Barayo is your beach!!! Even in High Season “The Beach of Barayo” offers you silence, and wild and spectacular spaces. Declared Partial Natural Reserve. Discover it and have a walk near its dunes and its river. It is at 3 kilometres from the HOTEL.
“COSTA NAVIEGA” ROUTE
Distance18 kilometres / Difficulty: Easy /Time: 2 hours by bicycle, between 4 and 6 hours on foot. Take your racksack, we are on route!!! One of the most beautiful seaside tracks in Asturias. Bordering the cliff near the Beach of Barayo until Navia. This way will take us through incomparable landscapes, going through natural places like the beach of Barayo,( Partial Natural Reserve), the seaside village of Puerto de Vega, the small bay of “La Losera”, The Island of “Soirana”, The Beach of Frexulfe. A walk of two hours approximately and we are in the middle of the route. The following parts situates us in the parish church of Andés, going across an endless number of small but charming beaches (“Fabal”, “Coedo”, “Bragada”, “Beach of the Moor”) that will keep you company in a beautiful journey that will be finished in the Beach of Navia or “Veiga of Arenas", a unique and unsurpassable environment for the amusement of young and elderly people, with every kind of facilities and services for the visitor. This route is organized with a Picnic by the Mountain Group “Peña Furada” in the month of June, but you can do it at any other time.
